When you talk about things you don't understand you sound like an idiot. You obviously have no idea about either software coding, how the industry works or the ages of your fellow forum users, so stop talking like you do. Drawing comparisons between a military operation and the coding of a video game patch is moronic. |

I will say that the adults on this forum are NOT the ones throwing a tantrum and trading in/making a coaster/taking a drill to a game that is perfectly good as it stands, off the shelf. The adults are the ones adapting to the game's foibles to still get plenty of fun that's there to be had while they wait... Judging from your OP, it seems your main gripe is deliberate crashers and being denied rightful kills...? That is annoying, it's true. But everyone is in the same situation. How about instead of unoriginal ranting on a forum you don't care about, you instead learn to shoot better so that your opponent doesn't have the chance to screw you out of a kill? If you take out the engine, you get your kill instantly. And to those that keep citing MW2's release day patch as a good example... You think that's acceptable do you? You think it's OK to ship a game knowing full well it needs a patch before it even hits the shelves. I think it's pathetic that MW2 has had 2 patches in as many days, it needs another one, and is not even a week old. Coupled with the fact that it's also the most expensive game ever, without a peripheral. MW2 is nothing more than an example of what happens when you rush fixes... And please stop citing Forza 3 as well - that is number 3. For sequels there is very little to do except add content, which is just the tip of the iceberg when you consider all the work that goes into the underlying game. In fact, if the core game is written well, you could conceivably churn out sequel after sequel with no programmer involvement whatsoever. * Note: that was hypothetical - I'm not saying that. I know Anton has been claiming BoP uses the PC Il2 flight models, but the P51D in BoP does not fly like the P51D in Il2. The P51 in Il2 1946 is a capable performer, fast and reasonably maneouverable, especially at high altitude, and while it can be a handfull to fly with a high fuel load it is in a different league from the P51 in BoP, which is at least 50mph slower and stalls in anything but the gentlest of turns. Same goes for the P47, while the various models of Fw190 seems heavier than they should be (lower acceleration/top speed and easier to stall than PC versions). |
