My most embarrassing moment is anytime I play Live. I just die, over and over and over again, even when I know guys are flying to let me get a kill.

The key is to know what your enemy is flying and how it flies. Uses its weakness against it no matter how boring it may be.

For example,

i've just been playing against sloppyclock, and i must admit i was abit suspect when he chose the I-16 (I had the hurricane as always ) but i have to give him credit, he knew -

a) how to fly the I-16
b) how to fly against the hurricane

If i got onto his 6 then he would jsut go into a crazy turn (this is on sim mode btw), he was so hard to keep in my sights, he was able to out turn me so all i could do was get any shot of i could in the brief second i had to shoot, hope it did damage (the I-16 is weak) then run away and use my speed (not fast, but faster than him) to get away while trying to lose him down low.

IF i did damage then it makes it harder for him to fly, and easier for me to get the kill.

All credit to him, he knew how to use it!! he didnt stall it or have the engine cut out once at any height.

Also in the game was reddisback and he stumped us by flying the A20 in a dogfight, but he only died once!!!

he knew that our planes would struggle for speed against his, and he knew he had guns to get us. Generally we tried to stay away from him which i think unfurtunately may of made the game boring for him. Sorry redd


The point is - know what your enemy is flying and how to counter it you'll soon pick it up.

For me it was last night I'd say. If I can't shake a guy I'll bring him down to the deck where I'm pretty good (what? Iam!) and more often than not end up running them into the ground (ask edal86!) but last night I ran into a guy named djdaco420 or something like that and he did it to me! My smug confidence was shattered and I found myself sitting back and saying "nice!". Felt pretty silly. This guy was a riot by the way, he sounded like the biggest pot head EVER but was funny as hell. We had a couple awesome tussles where I'd barrel roll and chop the throttle, he'd slowly slip by and try to accelerate away only to pull the same trick on me. All the while I'm kicking my self and he's saying "I'm coming for you Hauptmann". I think we ended up about 3-2 in my favour but what a blast.

I was SO embarrassed when I accidently dropped a bunch of bombs on my teammate when playing CTA. I forget who but I know it was someone from the forums, and I didn't have my mic to apologize.

LOL - this happened to me once. I was on the airfield and I was being bombed by a teammate who made a strafing pass at the airfield.

My embarrassing moment- reverting back to arcade to unlock planes and getting owned by everybody. That and playing against edal86. My mother always told me humility is a good thing!

HAHAHAHA!!! I know what you mean!!! There are guys in Arcade that WILL own you. Happens to me every night!!!! Lots of them play in a team. I can here them talking. One sets you up and the other nails you. Real hard to beat a team in any game. Keep an eye out for WAZMATIC in arcade. He's damn good.

Mine has to be my first Sim Strike match that I played. I'm playing with a friend who was flying a bomber with me as escort. The game starts with me on his wing. We head to target trying to climb to get a little alt. Half way to target we hit a cloud bank and get sperated. I start flying circles to see if I can find my big friend and without realizing it get turned around and end up flying back to my base. At the same time he dies and happens to spawn as I come out of the clouds a few thousand feet over him and our base. (Now mind you I still think I'm over the other teams base) Remembering the other team had a few He 111's I attack. In my dive I see someone else attacking him and figured we would make this two on one and finish the 111 off quickly. I over shoot who I thought was on my team and latch onto the bomber. My supposed team mate backs off while I proceed to throw everything I had at this bomber. At first the bomber wasn't shooting back (which I did find strange...) but after a few passes it was ON. We then get into a running battle that lasted almost 10 mins. My planes shot to sh@#, the 111 is shot to sh@# and the guy who I thought was my wingman was just watching the whole show. I'm pretty heated now, the battle was so intense I was standing on the edge of my couch making slight passing referrences at the 111's pilots mother and country of orgin. It just woundn't go down!!! I finally lay in with a finishing shot and down my foe. I'm about to ask who was watching that spectacle when the guy I thought was my teammate swoops in and kills me. At about the same time my friend realizing his mic was muted starts screaming how some insane idiot in a 109 on our team just shot him down after a long running battle.

Had to be the best face palm ever!!!
