How to play online?

Many players are on hiatus from the game until the patch arrives (myself included, although part of that maybe because I have no more XBL Gold left). So there may be less players then normal, but there are still some guys kicking around, you just need to get 'em on your friends list.

I have no clue what this means.

All I want to know is how to find people online to play this game. It's not like Call of Duty with well over 100000 people at any given time and servers that are mch easier to pick up a game on.

Tell you what add me on Xbox live (tag sloppyclock); me and about 8 others play near enough every night (and during the day of course ^^), we party up, if you add me next time your on we'll party up and play a few games, sound good?
