Best plane for Dog Fights?

If you play SIM forget about big planes (IL2-10 or biplane) they are so easy to spot. and so easy to kill

Undoubtly LA 5-or 7 are the best dogfighters Spit have more firepower though.

But as Morghot said, in SIM no matter what plane you take (apart from 1vs1) you should be able to perform. Personnally what I disllike is an unstable firing platform such as the 109-G6.

PS: BOP players (at least in SIM) are very sensitive to a kind fashion's week .

when I start playing everybody was on 109's then a few days later it was russians VS russians on LA5-7 (thanks to Soviet Ace). and now I don't know why everybody seems to prefer the Spit mkXVI. (Which I'm still waiting to unblock because I'm more on that forum discussing the game due to work than actually playing the game lol.)

Next week will be Milan fashion's week. with MC202 for sure

If you're playing Sim, use the B-17, it's agile, manoeuvrable, fast and it has very little recoil form the front guns.

I also switch planes now and then, but I think it depends on the other gamers. Like you say, everyone seems to change plane. I think it might have got something to do with the category of the planes.

What I mean, If everyone is flying spit, Im not going to take a Bf109, because I will be outturned all the time. So I take a spit. If other people take a 109, I can as well.

You know what im saying? its the same with the mc202. If you pick it now, you will be slaughtered, if everyone has it, you can pick it too. So maybe ...you will be right

Well yeah, but I'm still wondering which allied fighter can match the MC202 ???

The Spit MkII will slaughter the MC202...
The Hurrican will slaughter the MC202....

a P51 will just be a "no challenge" for the MC202 player

How about a me262 with a player who is turn-happy (im surprised how many of those exist )

The P-51 and jets, are planes you should NEVER take in a decent dogfight.

Yak-3

+Fast
+Maneuverable
+Well Armed
+Better turning radius than a La-5FN or La7
+If it gets damaged to much, it is actually fairly easy to keep stable if your good at the controls.
-Does not have the Yak-3 canopy.

I like Yak3 for history, for its style, for its name but I think the LA5-Fn is somewhat superior to the Yak3 in the game.

The La-5FN has a larger more powerful engine. And heavier guns, those are all the La-5FN or other La's have going against the Yak-3. But I still like them all the same, Yak-3 or La-5FN? I fly both quite frequently and have many kills with both.

EDIT: Also, when flying Soviet planes i.e. Yak-1, 9, 3, and La-5FN, 7. Have the Aileron and Elevator sensitivity all the way maxed to the top. Like it was said before, you unleash the planes full potential as a killer.
