some people play without a mic...(me included, cuts out lag)
so they won't hear people throw their rattles out of the pram in the lobby.. and if you hate jets just set the date pre 43.. if you can't cope with an I16/15 you need to rethink your game choice... ![]() whining about being outnumbered too... honestly.... To be honest, this topic is getting kind of useless, all arguments just repeating.
As I've stated before, I agree with the OP. People against his statement say: if you can't handle (...) don't play the game. People for his statement say: if you can't handle anything else then (...) don't play in my room. It all comes down to the same thing: play how you like to play. If the host doesn't want jets in his room, he can do whatever the hell he wants, including requesting people to change aircraft. If that person doesn't want to change, he should leave. No use asking why, since the answer in any case will be: because I want to. Comments like this are useless and only aggrevate people. For example, I don't like jets, they're in a different league than other planes. However, I can safely say I can cope with them, and have shot down more jets than I've been shot down by them. Not wanting planes in your room doesn't necessarily have anything to do with 'being able to cope with', only with how people want to play the game. |

if you host a game thats open to the public you can limit the jets by setting the year pre 43...but its an open room...open...
if you want to play just spits and 109s invite friends and don't waste the time of other players who seek out a game in good faith. So the op doesn't come across as a recalcitrant teenager thats taking their ball home cos you won't play how they want to? fine...hear it how you want to.. ps I play without coms to stop lag... ________ SILVERSURFER REVIEWS Last edited by juz1; 02-24-2011 at 09:41 AM. |

As far as I'm concerned, no one comes off as being a 'recalcitrant teenager' if he applies his own rules in his own room. P.S. Yeah, we got you play without comms to reduce lag from your first post. Not sure why you keep mentioning it. EDIT: Caught redhanded, I apologize. Last edited by Ancient Seraph; 09-30-2009 at 01:01 PM. |

Ps A host trying to lay caveats on an open game of say COD4 would get less understanding and advice than this thread... and since when was Host Boss? They've decided the game type and rule set which is entered at session creation...there control technically ceases, apart from when to start...Is this a Halo thing?(never ever played it) ________ Braising food Last edited by juz1; 02-24-2011 at 09:41 AM. |

as for aggravation well I am now Why don't we then have a nice sticky thread for people to make their Gamertags REAL CLEAR that if they are hosting you HAVE to play their way... It would really speed up the leaving process... ________ CIVIC (THIRD GENERATION) Last edited by juz1; 02-24-2011 at 09:41 AM. |

Sometimes I think instead of setting a year limit for aircraft, the host could select a theatre, so for instance if he selects "Battle of Britain" we play over England and the Channel in Emil's, Mk II's, He-111H-3's and Stuka's.
Select "Barbarossa" and we fly F-4s, H-6's, and so on and so forth. Likewise with the B-17G, would be something like "Defense of Germany", fly on the Berlin map, would mean you'd need to allow 262's but I'd be for that because these aircraft did fight each other.
