As I mentioned in the thread I created, one airfield games are tiresome at times. The best way to play Capture Airfields is to use TWO airfields rather than one. It adds in tactical gameplay, reduces spam-spawn kills, and gives teams a chance to cap an enemy airfield.

Trust me on this, use two airfields and then you will see the real fun in CTA games.

I agree with Lexandro, although for CTA's with two airfields you do need at least 8 players in order to make it a real nice game. 6 is possible, but not as much fun. Less player than that and it's better to go for 1 airfield. Also a good way to make a CTA more exciting is to increase the spawn time (this sounds weird, I know), this way it actually becomes usefull to take out as many of the opposite team as you can and then land, instead of everyone rushing down to the airfield, trying to land at the same time.

you are a horrifically shitty player if you cant strafe an airfield and are forced to crash into planes.

doesnt matter if the devs think its "acceptable"

Well then it is clear that they didn't play test this mode enough to discover that it is highly frustrating and anoying for the guy on the ground.

Just don't do it and you will save yourself from the hate of others.
