I want to point out one single thing -

A classic manipulation method is - Reverse Psychology -

The subject has no idea that the prohibition for example of - X - has one and only reason.

To create a critical mass of followers revolting to the prohibition it's self, hence reinforcing

the idea under persecution.


A classic example are the Christians.

Imagine the fate of Christianity if the Romans did not forcefully prohibit the idea.

It would have faded away like any other cult or what have you.
