FW-190 A41.42 ATA & DGEN campaigns

But this thread is not about that, its about dgen campaigns & the in ability of using a fully rated 190a4 in them (stock) as we have had before.

A lot of work has been done on the A4 throughout the patches & it had turned into the plane with its historical fearsome reputation that it was, without the introduction of the fully rated 190 A4 1.42ATA

To be honest why was it introduced in the first place, was the impact on all the dgen campaigns considered?

DGEN really hasn't been considered by anyone since release in IL-2 Forgotten Battles. Except for the briefest of updates for Pacific Fighters (and a fairly poor attempt at that).

My understanding with the FW190A-4 is that the initial versions to the Eastern Front did not have fully rated engines. Fixes were introduced and they were later fully rated. Because the FW190A-4 is important both as fighter and fighter-bomber past the initial introduction date it is kind of helpful to have both versions.

I love sub versions of aircraft because they make multiplayer and campaign scenarios more accurate and nuanced. But adding aircraft does take its toll on the DGEN system... its missing a ton of aircraft like the LaGG-3 Series 29 or 33, or Yak-9M or Yak-9UT, etc.
