I haven't found the delay. *but* I did see some stuff which specified the distance. I'm thinking if the distance were higher, then it would be easier to see the light. I was also thinking if distance were *really* high, then you could walk onto a map and all the trasures would light up...and a single press of the 'd' key would clean out the map lol.
