lost rage

my maximum rage is 52 , after killing undead, maximum rage dropped to 37 ..
and i only noticed after killing 6-7 enemies, is there any thing i can do to fix this ? or the only option load old save ?
and this happened after i used "calm rage spell" so i lost rage permanently
