1. It will leverage DX10 and 11. If you have DX9 hardware you simply won't see the goodies.

2. Poll is not necessary. Designers don't give a crap what os you use. They code for optimization of hardware. The PC Gaming OS standard is windows so they all code to the top tier version. That only leaves 64bit optimization - and multi core support. All of which have been confirmed for S.O.W Battle of Britain.

Almost everyone will be on window 7 ....... so pick your flavor.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit because I need the networking functionality .... unless you work in IT and need advanced networking features

** Almost everyone will be VERY WELL served by Home/Professional editons. Save some money that way too. Not too mention significantly fewer processes running and lower memory footprint.
