OK, let's sort that out. You choose arcade mode. In 'hornet's nest' you fight against waves and waves of planes, there are about 30 of them. You shoot down as much as you can, like 20 or so, and after 8 and a half minutes it says sorry fella, go back to field number one. You try it about 20 times, and then you feel like the one-legged at an ass-kicking-contest and you're close to giving up.
Then you choose realistic mode. You see all in all about 10 to 12 planes. You manage to get down two of them, the rest is taken care of by your comrades. You have about 10 minutes (!) to get there (and in the meantime, on my 6th try, I got it finally too ).
What takes me wonder now: Why is this mission in the arcade mode so much harder than in the realistic mode? Is this a mistake or is it intention? And if it's intention what is the meaning of it? I believe there is hardly anyone who managed this mission in arcade mode. I also like to be challenged, but not beyond frustration. That's why I choose the arcade mode.
I am sorry for roughing up things, I just had to loose some steam.
