Open both conf.ini in the two directories he mentions and examine whicone has updated data and which one not. That solves the riddle
(correct answer is = the Documents folder of the user's desktop (labelled 1C Softclub) )

Thanks, sorry for being a dunce. Trying to work out too many things, like how to get the GPU at full speed, so not capable of doing simple things at the moment
