It is a favour to give us more planes. Of course no company does favours to their customers because they feel social, it's to make money. But when I get a good product, I'm happy when the company creating it earns money and is able to give me my next fix.

I ordered my copy via Amazon UK. They offer it for GBP 27.96. To get it quickly I am paying another GBP 25.00 for express delivery though

I think the US are getting a good deal, they are paying 60% game price and then download DLC for 25% game price. thats fine, but in the UK, we're paying 100% game price, and then expected to top up the rest of it for another 25% game price.

If they released the DLC cockpits for free (which some games do do free DLC) then all is well with the world, i just think its a little cheeky to release a technically unfinished game. as wonderful as it is to give us an extra 30 planes.

thats like playing £40 for Modern Warfare 2, but having to download the camouflage patterns for the players later, and in the mean time you're walking around in an orange jumpsuit. it's just a ltitle bit cheeky.

and please understand its not a criticism of the lack of cockpits, thats not really what i take issue with, its the PRICE, the US seems to be getting a good deal, but UK isnt.

let me break it down price wise
US prices (in GPB £)
Standard Game e.g. Modern Warfare 2 = £40
Downloadable content = 800 MS points = £8

IL-2 Birds of Prey = £25-£30
DLC = 800-100 MS Points = £8-£10.

Fair deal.

UK Prices (in GBP £)
Modern Warfare 2 = £40
DLC = £8 (average yes?)

IL2 = £40
DLC = £8-£10

now do you understand my gripe?

i dont mind DLC or lack of cockpits but a full price game on one side of the atlantic, and a 60% price game on the other is a little cheeky.

and thats ignoring the whole some people have obscured views and some people dont issue.

you can get it for £30, but retail is the full £50 with most shops selling at £40, 1k MS points is £8.50, it's effing expensive over here, way out of line with exchange rates, rip off Britain and all that.

damn right!

but if the host had the option to filter it that would be a more than acceptable feature. (Jasta)

and £30 on amazon is pretty amazing, but then u have to pay through the nose to get it at a reasonable pace

I'm living in Austria - so the delivery for you may even be free of charge and quick. I just was forced to pay extra because the EU version is delayed by our German neighbours who have a passion for censorship...

No, they're afraid that the next amok kid will steal a plane to mow down his class mates... According to some politicians computer games are the cause of all evil in the world.

amazon do free delivery in the UK but it takes AGES, so i just pay the extra £2 for first class, the game on amazon is £28 so with delivery brings it to an even £30, bargain i thought
