get black screen when launching demo

I just downloaded the demo and everytime I launch it I get a black screen and have to press Esc to exit it. Here are my specs:
AMD phenom quad core 9850 2.50 Ghz
6 gigs of ram
Geforce 9800GT 512mb with latest driver 186.18
windows vista 64bit SP2

Did you download the PhysX patch? you can fins it here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.0408_whql.html

it's tell me the currently installed version of the driver is newer then what i am trying to install, i'll send the repot
