I downloaded and installed the mini patch but i get CTD's only on startup?? Now i noticed that the file says it's the number of the previous patch after downloading. So is it that? am i the only one? Or did i do something wrong (i installed it in the correct folder)?

Any help on this would be very appriciated.

I have bought and used IOBit's software in the past and found it a convenient way of stopping unnecessary services and other system management.

I notice that it's identified by Steam as software that can cause problems so don't bother with it anymore. There is lots of software on that list of potential troublemakers for Steam though.

I thought it improved here!

I deleted the cache folder and had a complete improvement. May be my impression, but it could be that had something flash behind when I was testing, I do not really remember.

Thank you for your service

Strange.. I have stam and no prob.. Oh wait, I bet I know what they are talking about. Game Booster can shut down the STEAM process, and as you know that has to be running prior to lanching a STEAM game. But, Ill bet they were refering to an old version of Game Booster, in that the current one is smart enough to detect STEAM and not shut it down, unless you manually tell Game Booster to shut it down.

I think he means that on the steam forums and help pages, they state that GameBooster might cause problems running their games. But you're correct, the newest versions have been great about identifying Steam processes and leaving them alone.

This is going to get lost in this thread mate. I'd suggest making a new topic (unless I've completely missed it).

Very poor preformance with more then 3 aircraft on the screen in multiplayer, very poor preformance on take off and landing with smoke effects. Otherwise preformance is great on max with AA off.

Why is this?
