Theres a massive difference between a 580 and 5870 and 4 x 5870s has almost 4 x the processing of a single card. I think you expect too much from a card that is almost 2 generations behind now. What your getting is about as much as you can expect with a single card.

Phat,

Im running the 990x and twin 590's (4 waySLI) on a G1.assassin board.

runs pretty great even on a single core (havnt run it in SLI yet)

the only time I had it bog down was flying online in the syndicate server...
zooming in on the ground battle where a ton of stuff was smoking.
