Graphics problem - black lines and strange message boxes

Hi, I'v got a problem after installing second patch. Look at that picture, some strange black line just below the horizon occurs, and what happened to the message boxes - there are some bizzare grey boxes that I can't turn off.

I've got Asus 4850 video card, XP, 4gb ram, Intel Duo 3 gHz. Newest video drivers.

What to do with that problem??

It might be a memory problem. Try to save memory and turn off virusprograms etc. and other unnecessary backround progs.

I no longer get the lines since the last patch. Maybe update your video drivers?

For the widows you should be able to remove them like this:

ALT + LMB click the window to activate it.
RMB click the window and select "close info window" <- or words to that effect.

But as for these lines I'm helpless.

aniso filter 8x in the driver panel or land shading low for the black lines

put land shading, down to low, it worked for me

Thanks for advices, putting down land shading helped

There are another graphic problems:
* when I fly Spitfire, I can't see shot traces when I use machine guns. There aren't any problems with other planes
* in PILOT / PLANE menu, 3d model of my pilot and plane disappears after short time, then my PC crashes...

Could anyone help?

Nobody has tracers in Spit Mk.IIa. It is a bug.

The crash is very strange. What is the crash exactly? Does the screen go black? Do you have any specific error messages showing? Blue screen of death?

After a while 3d model of the pilot or plane disappers, and then everything freezes. You can go out to Windows by CTRL+ESC and shut down launcher.exe
