I was refering mostly to the way, the water looks on your screenshot. I suppose you are running the game in DirectX mode instead of OpenGL (which is recommended), you can have water look much more 3D and realistic:

Pics of the modded game may lead to wrong expectations, as long as he flies the stock game.
