End of Game??

I've used 25 years game play and have defeated the three Dominators Blazer, Terron and Keller. I am then told to go to a Space Ranger Station to be congratulated, etc. I am then asked if I would like to see a 'Space Opera' but when I say Yes, the game stops and the credits roll - is this usual/ Has anybody else had the same thing? Should it happen?
I would appreciate some response from somebody, even if it's only 'BxxxxxS. Thanks in anticipation.

I don't know about the Space Opera thing, but if the credits roll then you've obviously won congratulations. XD
