Hi! I would like to know if there will be a playable soviet YAK-15 early jet fighter in Il-2:BOP. Thank you!

Not really sure, but there could be. They still haven't released all the flyable planes yet, so it could be?

Considering that the russian designers were instructed to make a jet in feb of 1945, i don't think that the plane actually made it off of the productions lines in time for the end of the war. So it is likely that it will be missed out.

Would have been an interesting dogfight between a Yak-15 and Me-262?

You can already do that in the PC version (IL-2 1946) with four versions of the Me-262 and one model of Yak-15.

The germans had their ME 262 ready for combat in 1942, but because of engine problems they couldn't make it work properly. If the plane would have been flying by 1943, the world of jets would be alot more advanced now-a-days. every cloud and all, if the 262s were flying then many more people would have died. Still, Even if the russians did start designing their own jet fighter, they did not have an engine. The Yak 15 used a captured german design (the junkers jumo i think)
