I have a quote for updating my current computer, which is 32 bit XP, 3gb ram, and 1T HD.
I'll have the hard drive partitioned, so that I can keep XP running, too. Does the below sound like a system that would handle CoD, and other future sims, for awhile? Asus Sabertooth P67 motherboard EVGA GTX570HD 1280 MB GDDRS Memory 8gb Corsair DDR3 1600mhz Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel Ci7 2600k 3.4 Ghz 8mb cache Installation binky9 |

This machine rocks!
I am sorry I am lazy to check the specs of your motherboard, does it support SLI? (worthwhile investment for the future) And the Power Supply, is it in the 800W - 1000W range (also worthwhile) |

That should be fine (at least I hope so - I've just ordered a similar setup, though I've gone for an ATI HD 6970 GPU) The SabreTooth MoBo supports SLI/Crossfire. As GRAthos says, youll want at least an 800 W psu if you are going to run dual 570s - 1000 W might be more sensible. I'd make sure you have plenty of cooling, too.

The motherboard does have SLI. I won't know about the power supply requirement until Monday.
I had a feeling I was going overboard, but maybe this will keep me from needing any upgrades for some time to come. Thanks, binky9 |

It might be worth thinking about more RAM. From what I can figure out, you need to get it in a matched set for best results, so increasing later means replacing the lot.
My spec: Antec Three Hundred Black Mid Tower Case Asus Sabertooth TUF X58 MoBo Intel i7 950, Quad Core, 3.06Ghz CPU (will be overclocked a little) Alpenfohn Matterhorn The Beast CPU Cooler 12GB (3x4GB) Corsair Vengeance, DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600) RAM ATI 2GB XFX HD 6970, 880Mhz GPU 1000W Corsair CMPSU-1000 HX PSU 128GB Crucial Real SSD 1TB Western Digital Caviar Green HDD Custom build - from Scan. |

Andy sptted one good point:
Personally I do not think that we will need more RAM than 6GB for the next couple of years. But how will you put Quote:
The new mobos require THREE banks of the same type (not two like the older ones): Therefore you can go for 3x1Gb DDR3 = total 3Gb RAM <-NOT RECOMMENDED or 3x2Gb DDR3 = total 6Gb RAM <- RECOMMENDED or 3x4Gb DDR3 = total 12Gb RAM <- if the price difference is negligable |

For the 100$ difference, get a GTX 580 3GB version or HD 6970 with a custom cooler.
