How often in real life did they takeoff from carriers with wings halfway folded?

Didn't you know that it was common practice for ace pilots?

What a crazy practise! Nice video, thanks. Btw, did Corsairs fight against German fighters in ww2?

I know that they flew for RN in Norway, but I'm not sure if they encountered German fighters.
