Changing Difficulty Settings?

Is there any way to change the diffficulty settings for a user created campaign after starting it? I am half way through one and need to set the 'No Instant Success' to off........this one is driving me nuts........

AFAIK you cannot change these settings via game methods.
I vaguely remember someone fiddling with the files, but they were quickly 'silenced'.

Thanks Freddie, I was hoping that a file could be ammended. Think I may just have to start this downloaded camapign again or use FMB and edit the damned mission.......better than being 'quickly silenced' me thinks.......
