For Birds of Prey the Stick Press/click function is most important as you will be able to press the new button and thus render the RS free to 'Look around in cockpit' (like the hat on the aviator) - release the new button to make RS work as throttle or rudder.
thing is, pressing the stick down is awkward, this may solve that problem

again, I have not tried this out and limited info is available on this controller yet.
