The Aviator is the one I've got for the 360. I've got an X52 for my pc, which is nicer (still not perfect) to compare it to.
It's not *bad* but doesn't come across as well made. It's also awkward to use.
The shoulder buttons are on the bottom facing you, on the far left and the far right. The right and left stick buttons are there too. The problem is that it's awkward to reach them, especially the right shoulder button and right stick button, since your arm is in the way when flying.
The throttle position acually isn't bad. In fact, it helps hold the stick in place with two hands on it. It's ok, but not great. I wish they'd used that new Cyborg stick for consoles instead and added force feedback--especially for a WWII flight sim like IL2.
If you have a PS3, I'd get that other one I posted. Or look for the one that Ace Combat 6 came with if you have a 360.
