I'm Treetop, and I approve of this thread.
I'm in favor of anything that promotes the idea of installing and improving the default cockpits textures in the game (
similar to how we've already been doing aircraft skins for years now...) that doesn't involve downloading and installing some mega-mod package that force-feeds a ton of stuff I don't want, and "breaks" the default installation.
Frankly, it's rather annoying that so much attention has been paid to the end-user flexibility and resulting vast improvement of aircraft skins over the years, but many of the cockpits are still the same as they were from ten years ago or more.
