The commentary obviously was filmed after the war. If there are some pilot interviews, this might be interesting, but the commentary by itself is not worth any read ...

So what your saying is that you didn't bother to watch it.
Soldiers don't start wars, that credit goes to the men in positions of power with agendas. I doubt many pilots in the Luftwaffe had direct influence on the Reichs foreign policy.
For that matter I think its become pretty obvious that there really isn't any difference between the English/German/American/Soviet pilots. They all stood and fought when their country called on them.
