If it runs smoothly, fps does not matter too much.
I have fps 33-19-61 (avg-min-max) with AMD64 3700+ @ 2.7GHz, 2GB RAM and ATI X850XT at 1680*1050 LCD, 4xAA/AF, 32km visibility, perfect settings, 16bit texture compression.
Remember that 72km visibility takes ~5fps away.
