Another three Galland aircraft! It's amazing what you can learn when you sit down and study old well known material with a little patience and structure. The first skin depicts a quite unknown aircraft flown by Galland when he was first made Geschwaderkommodore in August 1940. This aircraft I learned about on the
Luftwaffe Experten Message Boards so big thanks to the guys over there!
The second and third skin is Gallands Bf109E-7 that he flew in November 1940, a reserve aircraft used for a couple of weeks in November instead of his usual aircraft. Although documents only shows that he used it for a few weeks it seems that the engine-cowling had at least one re-paint and the aircraft was propably kept as his reserve for a longer period of time.
