So setting a lower throttle position (say 50%) and fining the PP to still give you 2200rpm, would give you an AutoPP that tries to keep a fine PP as you increase the throttle, until you reach a safety point when it would automatically coarsen the pitch?

If you re-enable auto, it behaves like it always does.
