May I remind you that you can not compare colors and haze in photographs with what you see with your own eyes. Just a simple polarization filter in front of the lense can make a huge difference, without even touching a software tool.
You can actually see distant clouds through a polarization filter, which would just fade into the general haze without the filter infront of your camera.
In my opinion are the new colors and the haze far better than before, but I just had short test.
