I've had this both times I've played the mission. What happens is that everything you see in red in the list is occupying the same space on the ground. There should be a pile of stuff on the ground right around where the enemy all spawned. In order to get to all the stuff you have to go over to the pile and pick everything up using ctrl. It can be a little slow, but shouldn't be a problem.
