You are being understood fine csou. If you are running at 1920x1200 or (1080) resolution then a 1GB card is more than adequate. The only time to think of upgrading to 2GB is if you plan to use eyefinity resolutions.
Honestly, it would be a false economy to spend any money on an extra 5750. Sell your current one on Ebay and add the money from that to the money you planned to spend for the extra 5750 and get a 1GB HD6950 or 560Ti.
Again please be sure your PC case has enough room for a HD6950, they are quite long cards. To be honest I would imagine you should be good to go, but it is best ot be sure.
