According to Asus, the SABERTOOTH P67 supports 4 * DIMM - the model I'm going for is different, and has 6 slots, but only supports 3 unless you fork out for really pricy RAM (go figure...). I thought about getting the later MoBo, but the spec on my new PC keeps creeping upwards, and I had to draw a line somewhere. I'll be able to upgrade to a hex core CPU anyway, if I want even more grunt.
I'd agree that 8 GB of RAM should be fine for CloD, but it is worth bearing in mind that upgrading seems to imply replacing
all the RAM, for a matched set, so it is not a good idea to scrimp if you plan on upgrading later. I may try using some of the RAM as a RAM drive with CloD too.
