no antivirus installed on my gamer wins (I have dual boot, one is "gamer", other "worker", no antivirus installed or running on win7 gamer installation)

Have something simmilar...no that it does much to improve performance in the game

I have MyDefrag..Its the best...google why

I already did that

It helps a bit but COD currently have probs with multicore support....

Put your system, game and pagefile into 3 different physical drives.

I defragmented pagefile....

Will try that thanks...but really, is our goal to have textures set to performance??

My i7920 runs on 3.5 Ghz (default was 2.6) overclocked on default voltage cooled with Scythe Katana

I can compare this game only to ARMA2 in system requirements because it has similar or even higher visibility distances. This is the reason it performs so differently than shooters like Wings of Prey and demands all the above optimizations to run smoothly already now in 2011. Time for this game has just not come yet. Maybe in 1 or 2 years our hardware will be ready for such ground-to-sea battles with air support

I can compare this to Rise of flight which is very hardware consuming and ROF had probs too (at release) but now devs optimised the sim (still have some issues like graphic glitches (when changing views above frontline) but thats another story)....
