I understand that the game was released in a less than stellar state, but seriously, pay the money for a card that will be dx11 compliant with 2gb ram and you will be set for a while. Whether you are doing it to play this game or another it will be worth it. I am shooting for at least a nvidia 460 gtx with 2gb ram (about $225 usd) from newegg. The 570 and 580 cards are a tad out of my price range.

Quite honestly I think some of you guys are just too much of a fanboys. I'm a big one too but seriously dudes...come on.
The only way I can half-decently play the game over water with one opposing plane is to set everything to lowest and even then it's not what I would call smooth and when I do set everything to lowest of low I get something that looks like I'm back in the early 90's playing some "sim" on my 486...that's silly. I can play il2 46 at apsolute perfect so smooth I don't even bother with displaying fps as I could play il2 on perfect settings 3 rigs ago and it looked eons away better than what I have to do with CoD to get like 15-25 fps range.
I could turn pages on a book faster than what CoD runs right now for God's sake...
That's just so wrong in so many ways I don't even know where to start.
BTW my specs:
AMD X2 @2800MHz(I can easily get it to 3.0GHz this is silence/economy mode)
4GB DDR2
ATI HD4850 512MB
And yes I do expect to be able to play CoD at a level where it atleast does not look like early 90's "square chasing square" sim and at decent fps...
They only reason why I refused to complain so far is:
I'm apsolutely 100% sure the Team will fix this game with patch(es) in the best possible way they can, I've been with il2 since 2003 and it was apsolutely the most pleasant journey I had with any product ever, the only thing surpassing them being my 15 years old never been broken car...
So yeah I know they will fix it the best they can and will not complain but seriously this response was solely in light of expectations/hardware/performance ratio you mentioned with which I can not agree with...
