I am trying to establish if there is any advantage in assigning some of the needed processes (such as TrackIR) to run on one core (using task manager).

for you mate, this is wat i was using at the time i took this vid
Everything above these settings were left untouched.
Answer to ur q, u got a dual or quad core? if u got a quad, run it in its own core

wont have to compete with other programs. Althought all the processes are running across all ur cores, they mainly depend on the 1st core. Also you could run il2 on the other 2 cores. If you got a Dual core, run il2 on Core 1, just uncheck Core 0 in Set Affinity of ur task manager
@z0ttel - No worries mate

just something for u to try, do circles around that area, or pause the game and let it fully render

watch the difference in how it runs lol.
