What I meant here was... Yes there are a lot of weigh stations in California, but they are located reasonably close to the State Borders for trucks goining in, and out of the State like other weigh stations in other States, and seems being that we are primarily dealing with California, there is no real need for them unless crossing State lines
(like Reno, Nevada).

Gameking47 is right. There is one legitimate
‘Rest Area’ that he is referring to. This is were you pick-up Jessica on Hwy 101 heading north to SB. It’s a long strip on the shoulder of the road. Long enough to park a few trucks end-to-end, and 2 or 3 abreast. This is the only one I can remember in the game, but I have not made it a mission to find more.
