Well, as far as I know this DCG mod is not for Assault Squad. Unless there is a new AS version it is only for Men of War, not AS.
Or else did you chance "player" to some other name? I know my problem was a I had changed my 'player" to 'LordKnightFandragon'...once I realized that was the case it worked fine.
