Will the old school IL2 guys run off the new players?
 

Got the game today and managed to play in a few online dogfights. The game ran great.

I joined a game with two other players. They both joined the other team and ganged up on me. I suck at flying and dogfighting but still managed to get a kill. They hit me a few times and the engine on my hurri died twice. Not sure if it was from enemy fire or my abuse. I landed it both times. Another time I stalled out and crashed into the city below.

I had a great time and after the match I get a message from BFE1409 (or something like that) and he says "if you are going to crash everytime you are getting shot at then stick to viva pinata. this game is not for you."

Seriously? Heckling new players on the first day of play? This game will be lucky to have enough players to support any DLC or sequals and elitist assholes want to run people off already?

:rolleyes:he obviously wants you to stay still whilst he improves his kill stats, now take it like a man--- it probably gets his boyfriend going...

100% certainty there are real p****s online...

im all for a friendly dogfighting club - cant stand gits like that. perhaps we can make a list of GT's on a thread and arrange some good natured matches through the magic that is this forum?

I'm thick skinned and used to the interweb so it didn't bother me too much. Hopefully wankers like that won't run off too many noobs.

I like a bit of banter online. It's nice to communicate with other players. But blatant abuse just signifies a 'no-lifer' (I believe is the phrase).

dude, make him an avoided player and file a complaint for inappropriate behaviour, then keep playing, not everyone is an asshole.

It's more my style to try and find him in servers and tell everyone to crash before he can get a kill. :grin:
