Magic range question

I notice when I enter, my troops are halved. I'm assuming it's because I have less than 15 intelligence, or is it just a feature of the range?

If I complete the range, do I get my cut troops back?

You will not suffer if you are either a mage, or the other classes with at least 15 Intelligence.

I have no idea about the 2nd question.

No, I don't think so.

Ok, I've finally got my paladin up to 15 Int (mainly through artifacts) so I'll see how he goes.

I can give you one tip here: Reserve troups are not cut, so I do it by bringing 2 Archmages in the main army and full stacks of Horsemen and Inquisitors in the reserve. This way I lose only 1 Archmage and this army seems to be enough for me as a Warrior to complete it.

Why not bring one archmage? Or will that get cut to zero?

Calinda 01-02-2009 12:22 PM

Cuts to zero.

But how can the game leave you with zero troops? Isn't that some kind of paradox? ;)

Zero troops can be achieved easily, for example going to a tough fight with only 1 troop (to avoid losses) and summon lots of book of deaths. The troop will die and you will win if you defeat all enemies. Now you have nothing in your troops slots and if you go to a battle you instantly lose.

I'd have thought zero troops meant instant defeat.
