4.12 not working

Hey guys, 4.12 isn't working for me. I tried to install it over DBW, but then I tried to install it onto a stock install. In both cases, I got a CTD. It's obvious why this would happen on DBW, but why on the stock install?

was the stock install patched up to date to 4.11.1before applying 4.12?
