Last ship - Alex route - Spoilers

Hi, How do I equip this ship? I don't ever seem to be at one place long enough to dock & equip?

There is only 2 ways

1. First before you leave XT24 dock there at trade station that is the best
2. In XT23 you must be quick and go fatsly to dock with trade station there.
