Dynamic Campaign
 

Hello all,

I am running IL-2 Sturmovik on patch 4.11.1 and noticed a Dynamic Campaign came with it, and i really like it to, nice variety of missions but i noticed that for the Campaigns i have chosen no matter that plane the weapon load out is always locked to a certain item, why is that?

Is there a way i can stop it from doing that?

Hi Wizbomb and welcome

When playing Dynamic campaigns the only way to change your load out is to be leading the flight or squadron so it is rank dependant. When flying Luftwaffe campaigns I will generally start out as a major so I will at least fly in an element of 4 planes, however this sometime fail if I am selected to fly as the oberst`s wingman

So if you want to control load out options & fuel load select the highest rank

Im glad to hear that because it will give me something to work for, i was just afraid that id be stuck with my wing mounted rockets on my 1941 IL-2 for the whole time i played, dont get me wrong i love em but it like to have options :)

Proof positive that rank has it's perks.

Of course, starting at a lower rank can help in giving the sense of progression as the campaign drags on, and you get promoted from time to time. I actually prefer starting a campaign at the lower ranks, usually the third from lowest (Oberleutnant, Starshiyi Leitenant, Leutenant, etc.) is good because you still get to lead a junior flight. I'll worry about choosing the loadouts when I "rate" making those decisions.
