checktimespeed= 17sec 20%
As a client on a server, can someone tell me what "checktimespeed=17sec 20% means? I have seen this the last 2 times I played IL2 online and it stood out because if I recall correctly the numbers I'm use to seeing were much lower. Thanks TC

Every 17 seconds the server checks the clocks of host and clients, kicking anyone who is outside 20% difference. This is done to prevent cheating by using an accelerated computer clocking.
The parameters can be set in the conf.ini or confs.ini and are hosts choice, for instance checkTimeSpeedDifferense=0.05 checkTimeSpeedInterval=5 will give you a 5 second interval and a 5% margin. If you set values too low, there is a risk that people with a less than perfect connection get kicked from the server over and over. |
Thanks for the reply. TC
