Disabling my mirror gives me an instant +10fps
 

I have been testing with the fps counter running on screen, and I get an instant +10fps when I disable my mirror. Bye Bye mirror.

Maybe this will help you too.

Yup, three biggest culprits to fps for me are shadows, clouds and the dang mirror.
But maybe with the next patch I will be able to run all 3 since the announcement includes better performance for graphics.

Where is that option, I was looking to disable it but couldn't find where it is at.

It's in your controls, might be alt+m by default?

I bound a key to my flight-stick for now to make it easy...a full blown/coded disable would be nice. Ill have to look into that

You disable the mirror in a Spitfire or Hurrican in flight.
The default key should be M.

The mirror will always give fps penalty, it was the same for every sim out there. It just the way the mirror is rendered.
