Oculas Rift and IL-2 1946

Titles kinda says it all,
is there any thought by anyone of making this happen with IL-2 1946?

There are some excellent reports and videos of the DK2 version with DCS published now. As 1946 is older, meaning lower system resources, 1946 could be a good match up, if it's technically possible to do so anyway.

Anyone else have opinions on this?
Anyone have the technical ability and desire to take up the challenge?

How will you manage to handle the keyboard?
Is the solution good enough to compare with a 1920by1200 screen?

As anything, Oculus has its drawbacks, and I don’t know how if these were (or weren’t) overcome. However, it would be great to have the option to use it!

Eventually,
I can remember when (not giving up my age) the argument of the concept of 1080p was that it would simply never be possible, and many could give good technical reasons of why such a dream could never be achieved. Even still have a working Pentium 90 with a VooDoo1 video card, displaying on a 1024 CRT sitting here next to my current rig which proves 1080p is an absolutely impossible dream....as a reminder

But now that my vision is not as good, here I am, sitting here using an 42" 1080p TV for my monitor...
In time, like all technologies, even the 1080p monitors, or monitors and TV's for that matter will be obsolete....
Technologies just seem to keep moving forward...without stopping...

With HOTAS most useful functions can be mapped and the keyboard is not important any more, either way I can find things like space bars and function keys with my eyes closed anyway.
with the final release of the consumer version the resolution will be good enough, so why not start implementing it with the current developer kits, it is after all what the development kits are for.
