Location of config files
 

While working on keybindings and the config ini... I found the folder in 'My Documents' that actually contains the mycontrols.ini , the other INI files as well as paintscheme, screenshot, mission folders and more.

So right now I have a few questions on the topic.

(I already disabled cloud storage on steam for CoD so Idont have to worry about steam overwriting my changes).

But .. what folders actually are in use there? since there are duplicates in the actual IL2 COD folder.

I installed CoD to its own specific folder on my D: drive. Also installed Steam there, as I dont want my C: drive getting cluttered up. I use it just for the OS and some utilities.

So if the folder is getting used.... do we have to put our missions and skins in there?
Is there a way to redirect CoD to look for that folder elsewhere, if that is the case, so I can move it off my C: drive.
