Bring Back 1946 GUI
What do we want?
The original Il-2 GUI is workmanlike, if uninspired. The current one is an incoherant jumble. I'd rather have something more akin to RoF's if I could ;)
At this point I'll take the known working quantity.
I suspect it will have to undergo changes as more ac, maps, expansion packs, etc are added. And, please - Track record assigned to a keystroke as in '46!
All the il2 games have had the #1 worst interface of any flight sim I've ever played. How about making a decent interface for a change. The game itself is worthy of it.
Track record assignable to a keystroke would be hugely appreciated
The old IL-2 menu is not flexible enough, the new one can be improve by 3rd Party Developers. So i am for a new improved one. ;)

Now this is what a flight sim GUI should look like. Check out the video starting at 1:00.

The IL2 Menue was utterly boring and uninspired and aesthetically rubbish. It worked rather well albeit sometimes a bit awkwardly. The current menue is aesthetically much more appealing but it is on some occasions not very intuitively usable. I think the current menue needs a rework to make it more user friendly. But as I definitely don't want the ugly and boring IL2 menue that was always a pain to see I prefer that they take some inspiration of the current Rise of Flight menue which really is outstanding from an aesthetical point of view but which is also very userfriendly. |
Yup +1,at present it's just not working, period.Anything would be better than the present QMB as it's just a mess, sorry if this offends 1C but it was daft releasing this in this current state.
